The Hockey Australia Member Protection Policy governs all affiliate states, territories, associations and clubs within Australia.   This includes NSBHA and all it's affiliated Clubs.

MEMBER PROTECTION INFORMATION OFFICER

In accordance with the HA Member Protection Policy, every Association should appoint a Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO).  The MPIO is the first point of contact for a person reporting a complaint, or a breach of, the HA Member Protection Policy.  The MPIO provides impartial and confidential support to the person making the complaint and can provide options to resolve the problem.

COMPLAINT HANDLING TOOL RELEASED

Play by the Rules has launched a new online interactive tool to assist clubs in decision making and processes for responding to and handling complaints.  The tool provides options and guidelines for dealing with different levels of complaints, from favouritism and team selection to assault and child abuse.  Throughout the tool are resources, videos and printable information sheets that provide comprehensive guidance and procedures that can be applied within clubs.  The tool can be found on the Play by the Rules website, click here to go to the Complaint Handling Tool.
