It is with great regret that NSBHA will proceed to cancel the field representative programs for 2020.  For those who have paid registration fees for the representative program, a refund will be forthcoming in the following week.

RECOMMENDATIONS FROM HOCKEY NSW (17 March 2020)

Following consultation with Hockey Australia, the NSW Office of Sport, other government agencies as well comparable State Sporting Organisations, Hockey NSW strongly recommends delaying the start of all hockey competitions and all related hockey activities (including training) in NSW until Saturday 2nd May 2020.

In line with Hockey NSW recommendations:

  • All NSBHA competitions will be suspended until further notice.  Participants and stakeholders will be advised separately with further details.
  • All NSBHA representative program activity whether trials, training or events, will also be suspended until further notice.  Again, participants and stakeholders will be advised separately with further details.

NSBHA is planning with the assumption that the winter season activities will ramp-up again from early May, but clearly there are many uncertainties ahead.  We will advise further when we know more.

Finally, NSBHA is recommending that local hockey activity and/or social events via our clubs, schools and associations respond similarly towards the protection of our members and the wider community.
